1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane is an organic silane reducing agent that can be used to reduce the generation of sulfides and reduce etherification reactions. Used in the production of addition silicone rubber, silicone gel, methyl hydrosilicone oil and other special additives
Purpose
A hydrogen terminated disiloxane that can undergo an addition reaction with unsaturated olefins, making it widely used in the preparation of hydrogen terminated polysiloxanes as a chain extender or crosslinking agent for silicone rubber; Alternatively, it can be used to synthesize various reactive functional group terminated siloxane polymers for organosilicon copolymerization modification of organic polymers. It can also be used as a reducing agent in organic synthesis.
