Question

What options/alternatives farmers in word have replacing paraquat? Are there other useful herbicdes, i.e. diquat, glufosinate (which others) that can cover this gap? Would the replacements be related to higher costs as well? What crop protection startegies would farmers adapt replacing paraquat?


Answer


1)Sir, thanks for question. For weed control, Glyphosate and Glufosinate are the main options while many other broad spectrum herbicides also work. Costs may be higher but not too much. Diquat does not work well currently and will not in future as my personal opinion. One of Paraquat representative technology in China was no till planting such as rape seed. Again Glyphosate and Glufosinate can do it but may not be so quick as Paraquat as farmer needs.


2)Refuse(Adama Dupont)Chlorontranilprole , Carts hydrochloride, SP and Gr., Tricyclazole, Hexaconazole, Azoxystrobin Tebuconazole, etc Stemborer, Leaf folders, BPH, GLH, Blast, Neck blast, BLB, and weeds are Echinoclova, Ludvigia, Ammania, Monochoria, Marcilia, Cyprus iris, Cyprus rotundus, Cyprus diformis
