The mechanism of antibacterial action
Cefequine sulfate has a unique bipolar molecular structure. It is mainly manifested in the fact that the 7th position of its cephalosporin nucleus is a methoxyimido-5-aminothiazole substituent, which is an essential group for antibacterial activity. Unlike the third generation cephalosporins, the 3rd position of its mother nucleus has a quaternary ammonium salt group, that is, cephaloquinoxime is a zwitterionic ion, the cephalosporin nucleus has a negative charge, and the quaternary ammonium ion group has a positive charge.

The structure of cefotaxime sulfate determines its characteristics as follows: (1) it can quickly penetrate the outer membrane of Gram negative bacteria; (2) Yes β Lactamases are stable and have low affinity (bacteria produce bacteria that act on penicillins and cephalosporins) β- The lactam ring reduces its efficacy; (3) High affinity with penicillin binding proteins (PBPS is the target site for drugs to act on bacterial cell walls, and drug binding can prevent the synthesis of bacterial cell walls, thereby exerting bactericidal effects); (4) Its intrinsic antibacterial activity is stronger than that of third-generation cephalosporins. Compared with the third generation cephalosporins, the plasma half life of the fourth generation cephalosporins is longer and there is no nephrotoxicity.

Clinical application of cefquinime sulfate
Cephaloquinoxime is mainly used in veterinary clinical practice for: (1) respiratory infections in pigs and cows caused by Pasteurella, Haemophilus parahaemophilus, and Streptococcus; (2) Cow mastitis; (3) Mastitis Uterus Analactis Syndrome (MMA) in sows; (4) Sepsis; (5) Skin and soft tissue infections. China Agricultural University conducted clinical efficacy trials on the cefuroxime sulfate injection produced by our company. The results showed that the dosage of cefuroxime sulfate injection at 2mg/kg. bw and 3mg/kg. bw can effectively control the infection of porcine pleuropneumonia actinomycetes and Pasteurella multocida, reduce pig mortality, and improve the weight gain of surviving pigs.
