【 Indications 】 Mainly used for skin and soft tissue infections caused by sensitive Gram positive bacteria, respiratory infections, streptococcal angina, scarlet fever, diphtheria, legionellosis, pertussis, as well as infections such as gonorrhea, non gonococcal urethritis, acne, mycoplasma, and leptospira.
Pharmacological effects: Guitarimycin belongs to the class of macrolide antibiotics, with an antibacterial spectrum similar to erythromycin and a mechanism of action similar to erythromycin. Sensitive Gram positive bacteria include Staphylococcus aureus (including penicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus), pneumococcus, streptococcus, anthrax, erysipelas suis, Listeria monocytogenes, Clostridium putrescens, and Clostridium aeruginosa. Sensitive Gram negative bacteria include Haemophilus influenzae, meningococcus meningitidis, Pasteurella, etc. In addition, it also has good effects on Mycoplasma. The antibacterial effect on most Gram positive bacteria is slightly inferior to that of erythromycin, and the antibacterial effect on Mycoplasma is similar to that of Tylosin. It is also effective against Rickettsia and Spirochetes, and its effect on drug-resistant Staphylococcus aureus is better than that of erythromycin and tetracycline.
The pharmacodynamic antibacterial spectrum is similar to erythromycin, and the mechanism of action is the same as erythromycin. Mainly used for preventing and treating infections such as Mycoplasma suis and chickens, as well as Gram positive bacteria (including penicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus), and can also be used to prevent and treat Vibrio dysentery in pigs. Premixes are used as feed additives for pigs and chickens to promote animal growth and improve feed utilization.
Pharmacokinetics: Good absorption after oral administration, reaching the peak concentration in blood after 2 hours. Widely distributed in major organs, with higher concentrations in the liver, lungs, kidneys, and muscles, often exceeding blood drug concentrations. Mainly excreted through the liver and gallbladder system, with high concentrations in bile and feces. A small amount is excreted through the kidneys.
