DL pantothenactone is an organic chemical，2,2-dimethyl-3-hydroxypropanal is prepared from isobutyraldehyde, which is then added to sodium cyanide and subjected to hydrolysis, acidification, and lactonization. Dissolve 2,2-dimethyl-3-hydroxypropanal in water, put it into the reaction pot, and then add sodium cyanide aqueous solution and calcium chloride aqueous solution. Mix well and add 50% sulfuric acid solution. The reaction produces highly toxic hydrogen cyanide tail gas, which is absorbed with ferrous sulfate solution. After reacting at 60-65 ℃ for 6 hours, raise the temperature to 80-85 ℃ for 3 hours, concentrate under reduced pressure, and add 95% ethanol to precipitate the inorganic salt. Filter and recover ethanol from the filtrate under reduced pressure before fractionation. Collect the fraction at 130-145 ℃ (1.33-2.44 kPa) to obtain DL pantothyrolactone.
