1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane tetramethyldisiloxane is a class of fine chemicals with hydrogen at both ends and a wide range of uses. It can be used to synthesize polysiloxanes containing functional groups such as amino, epoxy, hydroxyl, thiol, and methacryloxy through hydrosilylation reactions. Chlorinated polyethylene modified with hydrogen terminated silane can significantly improve its heat resistance, softness, and flame retardancy, and is widely used as a wire wrapping material. The modification of amino silicone oil with polyether silicone oil prepared from hydrogen terminated silane can improve the bleaching, yellowing, and hydrophobic properties of amino silicone oil used in the textile industry. In the treatment of transparent plastic substrates for food, pharmaceutical, and electronic product packaging, hydrogen terminated polysiloxanes can endow plastic films with significant gas barrier properties. Modification of hydrogen terminated polysiloxane with dienyl bisphenol A can yield polycarbonate graft copolymers with flame retardant properties.
