[Veterinary Drug Name] Common Name Fenbendazole Powder
Product Name:
English name: FenbendazolePowder
Chinese Pinyin: FenbendazuoFen
[Main ingredients] Fenbendazole
[Character] This product is an almost white powder.
[Pharmacological effects] Fenbendazole is a benzimidazole type of anti worm drug, and its mechanism of action is to bind with the microtubule proteins of nematodes to exert a repellent effect. The anti worm spectrum is not as broad as that of albendazole, and the effect is slightly stronger. It is highly effective for parasarcaris, adult and larva of horse tail nematode, viviparous Plasmodium, common round nematode, toothless round nematode, horse round nematode, and small round nematode in horses. It is highly effective for the adults and larvae of cattle's blood spearhead nematodes, Osterhabditis, Trichostrongylus, Campylostoma, Trichostrongylus, Cupressus, Esophageal nematodes, and viviparous reticulum nematodes. It has excellent insecticidal effects on the adults and larvae of sheep's blood spearhead nematodes, Osterhabditis, Trichostrongylus, Cooper's nematodes, slender necked nematodes, Inverted mouth nematodes, Charlotte's nematodes, esophagostomy nematodes, Trichocephalus nematodes, and Nethertail nematodes. In addition, it can also inhibit the spawning of most gastrointestinal nematodes. It is effective for adult and larval red roundworm, roundworm, and esophageal nematode in pigs. 50mg/kg daily dose for 3 days is highly effective against hookworms, roundworms, and trichomonas in dogs and cats. Continuous use at a daily dose of 50mg/kg for 5 days is highly effective against feline pulmonary nematodes (Anomalous feline roundworm), and repeated use for 3 days is highly effective against feline gastric nematodes (Panicularia). It has good effects on gastrointestinal and respiratory nematodes in poultry. After oral administration of fenbendazole. Ruminants absorb slowly, while single stomach animals absorb slightly faster. The peak time of blood medication after oral administration in dogs is 24 hours, and it takes 2-3 days for sheep. After absorption, fenbendazole is metabolized into sulfoxides (active oxbendazole) and sulfones. In cattle, sheep, and pigs, 44% to 50% of fenbendazole is excreted in its original form from feces, and less than 1% is excreted in urine. Dogs and cats must be treated for 3 days if one dose is ineffective.
